Friday, November 13th (5-8pm) -  The first of our "Uptown Fridays" Late night Shopping, sponsored by the Urbana Business Association.  Special activities are being planned for this event including carriage rides and fire pits scattered throughout to warm cold fingers and toes.  Many of the shops, galleries and other local businesses will be staying open for this event.  Heartland Gallery will be serving hot cider and other refreshments, and will have some live music at this first event, so please stop by and get your holiday shopping done early, before the big rush.  Other Uptown Fridays being currently planned by the UBA are on December 4th, 12th, and 19th.  The Holiday lighting will soon be installed, so please join us for a festive atmosphere.

Saturday, November 21 (6-9 pm) - Holiday Art Fair, featuring new multimedia works by Phyllis Rash Hughes and functional studio furniture and other wood items by Ali Tiouririne and Shahrazed Rebai from Ambiance at Home  Join us for an artists reception.  There will also be live music from 7-Their work will be here for sale at Heartland Gallery from November 21st through the month of December.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday, December 4th, 5th, and 6th - Art HooHa 2009: December Art Tour.  Heartland Gallery will again be a participant in this Urbana event for the fourth year in a row.  The hours this year are 6-9pm on Friday, 11am-6pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sunday.  Please see www.arthooha.com for a list of participating artists and locations.  This website will continue to be updated as the event gets closer.

Monday, December 7 (7:30-9:30pm) - Patrick Ball Concert (Celtic harper/spoken word artist).  Heartland Gallery is excited to be able to host this amazing performer and you won't want to miss it.  Ticket prices will be the same as for the other concerts, though this is not a Piper's Hut event ($20 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.  Call the gallery at 337-4767 to make a reservation, as seating is very limited.
